While not teaching at TNAA, Ms. Silva enjoys reading and raising her family here in Brooklyn—her hometown. She received a BA from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and a MEd from Long Island University.
Keisha Green – Partner Teacher
Pepe Gutierrez - Partner Teacher
When not teaching at TNAA, Mr. Gutierrez enjoys competing in triathlons, cycling, fixing up his house and collecting bikes. His hometown is a small town named Pullo in Southern Peru, and currently he resides in Floral Park, NY. Mr. Gutierrez received a BA in Psychology from Queens College, a MSc in Urban Education from Mercy College, and a MSc in Educational Leadership from Bank Street College in Manhattan.
Ms. Walker – Community Assistant While not working with children at TNAA, Ms. Walker loves road trips, to travel and spend quality time with her family. Ms. Walker was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago.
Mr. Thomas – Paraprofessional While Mr. Thomas is not working with children at TNAA, he loves to read and . . . read. Mr. Thomas has worked as an educational assistant and paraprofessional for New York City’s Department of Education for over 39 years. Though New York is now his home, Dotham, Alabama is his hometown. Mr. Thomas graduated from Alabama’s Selma University with a degree in Education, and while there he met one of the most famous and esteemed persons in American history—Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.!
